Ujiji is an Arab settlement situated in southern Africa. The city is famous for Europeans because this was the town where Henry Morton Stanley met the famous explorer David Livingstone and uttered the famous words "Dr. Livingstone, I presume?". Despite his fame among the colonizers, he was universally reviled among the Arabs, for his reports on the violence that surrounded the Arabian slave trade had cut into the profits of the slavers.
