The Ayapua is a steamer travelling from Tabatinga to Belém across the jungles of Brazil on the Amazonas. It is a taxing journey for Fogg, taking 69 hearts from him, but plenty of travelling sets help reduce the wear and tear of the journey. Aboard the steamer, Passepartout runs into Granville Foureh, a merchant from Sierra Leone, eager to trade in rubber. From him, the valet may learn how to travel to Freetown from Belém.
